Ekwan Marianto (b. 1977) on December 18, is a male artist who was born in Tuban, East Java and apparently started his artistic career when he started studying at the SMSR (Sekolah Tinggi Seni Rupa) Yogyakarta. It was at this school that he learned the basics of drawing, painting, carving wood, batik, making prints, making illustrations and so on.

Long before holding a solo exhibition titled “The Journey of Happiness” at the end of 2019, when he was studying art at SMSR-Bugisan, Ekwan had decided that he would pursue the world of painting. Therefore, he strives to master various painting techniques and styles.
