Greed is a basic trait of all humans, some are able to conquer this trait, but some are controlled by it. In this artwork, the greed is symbolized by the black chair presented in the middle of the canvas. It may tiny in appearance, but at the same time, the presence of this black chair seems very vivid. This object of choice was made by the artist to illustrate that greed is often covered up alternatively, even with various forms of kindness. The dominating dark-toned colours represent the artist’s statement toward greediness which he shows in this artwork.
