Multazam Kamil

Multazam Kamil (b.1969). Familiarly called ZAM. Since childhood, he likes to scribble words on the walls and likes to read novels and poetry. His passion becomes a kind of imagination in his work. After graduating from high school, he immediately ventured to Makassar to find an art community. Arrived in Fort Rotterdam, joined the Ujung Pandang Studio for about two months until they had a chance to exhibit together, before going to Yogyakarta in April 1990. 


After several months of contact with ASRI students, they finally joined ASRI with a focus on painting. In 1994, holding an exhibition of the generation which was read as the first painting bomb in Jogja, through the idea of ​​​​the work of "the wild thing" which has also become his style of work until now; which he continues to develop. As a completion of his studies in 1997, he took the thesis route about Leang-Leang cave paintings with the intention of learning to write ideas. Had traveled later in several places in Kalimantan and Nusa Tenggara; then married in 2001. Since then, he has been more active in group and solo exhibitions.
